Growing Older ... Not for Sissies

You may have seen some of these before, I'm on 'playcation,' so I'm posting some fun stuff ... remember: 100 laughs a day is equal to 10 minutes of exercise!

How can it can get any easier than that?

The Duck and I plan for the check to the mortuary to "bounce"!!! And we now have our plots paid for, sooo
...

Age is something that doesn't matter, unless you are a cheese.
I didn't get old on purpose, it just happened. If you're lucky, it could happen to you.
I think age is a very high price to pay for maturity.
Age seldom arrives smoothly or quickly. It's more often a succession of jerks.
As you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two...
Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been.

First I had to hit the increase buton to inlarge the type so I could read this...the process of getting older is so very different than what I had expected it to be. As I face my 50th year my close friend and I have many session of "What's up with that?" the ache's, pains, emotional issues...you just don't think about these thing when you're a spring chicken.

Oh Robin ... "facing 50" - Honey, you ARE a Spring Chicken!!!! I've got 13 years on you and I wouldn't trade being younger for anything, I'm being serious here! Most days I feel 25 years old ... my mind thinks I can still do things I did 'back then' but my body has given up a lot of those things. As I've gotten older, I hope that I'm a little wiser- I know I am kinder, more patient and filled with gratitude for each day ... every new day is a gift. 'Maxine' is a cranky ole broad and I love her spunk, but that's not me. Vaarwel, Sandy

Thanks for the laughs, Sandy, and I saw your comment at Tatersmama. You be good to yourself and just keep pluggin' along with us. We're ALL struggling from time to time. I'm so GLAD you're with us! Thanks for the laughs. :)
