Blogging

I started my blog back on the first of April, 2009 ... my intention was to 'journal' all my emotions, thoughts, etc. to help me while attempting yet another battle of losing weight. Then I posted some of my 'stories' from THE BOOK ... a project of too many years now about my hospice nursing career. My daughter truly piqued my interest with her own blog ... it was absolutely fascinating to read things that she wrote. Along the way, I 'met' some of the neatest, dearest 'fellow travelers' on the road to Blogville. I have become lax in both reading the many blogs that I followed as well as not posting for weeks at a time.

I have some great excuses ... and I have several drafts still on my list of posts ... I do miss many of my favorites. I don't seem to have as much time as some who blog and most certainly I'm not as clever.
I shall return ... sometime soon I hope. The 'pity potty' is stuck on my gluteus maximus ... as soon as I can dislodge myself, I'll be back.

I've Fallen off the face of the Earth, too!

I have missed being on the computer ... 'chatting' with some friends and being in touch with others. Apparently, mine is not a unusual state ... many of the bloggers that I follow have 'fallen' as well.

I'm seven weeks post-op from spinal fusion surgery. My baby had a baby almost 3 weeks ... and all the joy, photos and chit-chat should be from her, not an adoring grandma!

I'm not bouncing back from this surgery as well as I did the three rotator cuff surgeries on the same shoulder!!! I've almost weaned myself from the pain medication; that is so important to me. I'm not trying to be a martyr, just know that getting 'hooked' on pain killers is an issue for me. I'm 'lower than a snake's belly' ... lack of sleep (and I'm not even over helping with the new grandson) a possible wear and tear injury to my other shoulder ... anywho, I'm still here and I visit the blog world every so often. So hello to all ... I'll be back!!

She's Off-Line ... for a few days

For those of you that follow Miss Bz from The Mosquitoes Buzz she's 'off-line' at least until Friday. Their computer server is being updated to Fiber Optics, which is great ... but no computer, no emails, NO BLOGGING ... aaaaahhhh ... she'll be back soon.

Well ... it's some better ... kinda ... sorta

I have no idea what I did ... Debbie of Jadehollow sent me a note suggesting it was my settings, so I blindly changed ONE little thang and the posting of I REMEBER JOY is perfect now ... BUT the following post is not what I've chosen (font, color, bold) so I guess I'm half way there ... maybe. I'm looking forward to receiving my "Great Giveaway" from Debbie today ... I will let ya'll know all about it soon. Thank you again Debbie.

Singing The Blog Blues

I posted a beautiful story about one of my hospice patients ... Joy ... this morning. When I was finally able to go online this afternoon (we've had guests for a week ... and went to Houston on Friday to celebrate The Duck's 65th birthday and grandson's 13th birthday) I was dismayed to see that the post was one very long paragraph, no indentions, no separating of paragraphs!!! First thing I did was write Bz (it was Someone's nap time and I know better than to call during that time!) besides I was in sore need of a nap myself. (I had returned to the recreation center for an early strength training class after a week off) Bz called me and we commiserated about this funny little thing called BLOGGING. I have spent the better part of this afternoon and evening ... and am no closer to correcting the post. I've deleted the post about a dozen times, written it in Html then copied and pasted, I've done things I don't even know how to tell you ... but without success! I've read several of my blog friends similar battles ... but I am computer illiterate ... I'm having some awful side effects from a new 'miracle' medication and between the 'fog' I'm living in and the blahs from this darn blog .... well, Fiddly De! I can't be bothered by this silliness right now. I'm headin' for the shower and my soft bed. As dear Scarlett would say "Aye will just have to think about this tomorrow!"
