My "Other" Brother

I introduced you to my younger brother in an earlier post ... the one about a Selfless Act. I actually have two brothers ... this post is about the 'older' one. He's five years older than me (yes ... he's older than dirt!) He's always 'heard a different drummer' ... he's currently working on a N.O. O. A. ship along side 20 something year old 'kids' ... the ship operates in the Bering Sea. Recently when the ship was in port for repairs, we got the following email from 'Coop' with an awe inspiring video this time. I wanted to share it with you.

Dear Family and Friends,

Some of you probably already know, I recently joined an animal rescue group and have been assigned to protect the African Antelope. Well, last week was my first real action, and fortunately my efforts were captured on the attached video. I hope you enjoy it.

This type of work is rather tiring for a person of my age, but it is most rewarding. Even so, one rescue a day is all I can handle right now. .... coop

You know, families are a lot like chocolate ... mostly sweet with a few nuts!!! And I love both of my 'nutty' brothers very much!!!

P.S. I am called 'Fruitcake' for very good reasons .... :>)

Sweet Sandy..
Thank you so much for the comforting words you left regarding the loss of my beloved Binks. I do miss her terribly.. but do feel comfort from so many like you. I'm truely blessed to have such wonderful friends here in Blogland.
Hugs,
Debbie

Wow, that's some nimble brother you have there!
I couldn't run like that back when I COULD run like that!

I'll bet there's an antelope out there somewhere, thanking his/her lucky stars for your brothers bravery...and speed!
I can just hear them around the antelopey campfire (do antelope have campfires?) talking about how Al was saved by your brother - and his wonderful speed!
